  • The 谢尔曼ISD 校董会 finalized the 2024-2025 academic calendar at their regular meeting on December 18, 2023.

    Almost 200 respondents, 包括工作人员, 父母, students and community members, completed a survey sharing their input on a draft version of the calendar. The calendar was revised based on survey input to start school in the middle of the week, move the staff exchange day to the spring semester, and improve the balance of Monday and Friday professional development days. The Board approved the revised draft calendar with these changes.

    The new teacher institute is set for Wednesday, July 31 through Friday, August 2, 2024. All staff return Monday, August 5. The first day of school is on Wednesday, August 14.

    October 14 is a staff exchange day and student holiday. Thanksgiving break is set for November 25-29 with all staff and students returning Monday, 12月2日.

    Christmas break begins on Monday, 12月2日3, 2024. 工作人员 will return on Monday, January 6, 2025, and students return Tuesday, January 7. There is a staff exchange day and student holiday on Monday, February 17.

    Spring break is March 10-14, 2025, and Good Friday is April 18. There is a staff exchange day and student holiday the following Monday, April 21.

    The last day of school is Thursday, May 22. Graduation is the following day, Friday, May 23, 2025.

    There will be a total of 170 instructional days: 83 in the first semester and 87 in the second semester. Two “banked days” are included for inclement weather, and April 21 will serve as an additional bad weather make-up day if needed.
